Babies under six months old are free. Contact us directly to book. Because life can be unpredictable, we also offer casual lessons. Casual places are generally made available for booking a day or two before the start of the term if there is space available in that class. At The Music Playground our “Baby Steps” classes focus on creating and enhancing a musical bond between parent and child. Even if you don’t consider yourself a musical person, there is a gorgeous joy in creating personal imperfect music together. And the singing is good for both of you! Infants are incredibly musical at birth because their sense of hearing is already fully developed. From the beginning babies use their music processing network as they recognise and prefer the sound of their mother's voice. They remember things they repeatedly heard in the womb, and listen carefully to process the sounds of speech, babbling away using the sounds of the language spoken to them by the age of nine months.   🥰 Joy and connection through music making with others 🎶  Singing, instrument exploration, musical games, rhymes and lullabies 🌱 Grow musical potential, by following the natural process of language acquisition
