Instrument Lesson Orientation

Our four week orientation program gives you and your child time to find out more about our school and get a good feel for the things we offer. We’ve found through experience, that offering children a pressure-free space to observe and understand what is expected before lessons commence sets them up to succeed from the outset.
You and your child will:
Participate in 4 Music Club or Playtime classes (depending on age)
Observe other students having lessons, to give you both the opportunity to see what to expect when it is your turn.
Have an agreed lesson time slot reserved for your child.
Receive a recording of Suzuki Book 1 songs so you are able to familiarise yourselves with the repertoire before starting to learn it by ear, just as children are surrounded by language before they start to speak.
Receive a 60 minute Private consultation (in person or via zoom) to assist with your home instrument set up to help create the right environment for success before lessons start.
2x 30 min instrument lessons for the parent so you can help your child in the early stages at home when their turn comes. You’ll be amazed at what a powerful motivator it is for children to see their parents playing.
